Kihew Awasis wakamik (aka Indigenous Birth of Alberta) was created with the intention of awakening reproductive health teachings and traditions to revitalize health and wellness.
We help to remove any barriers for indigenous families' to access culturally appropriate and allow inclusive health care. This can include support for reproductive health, maternity care, infant care and end of life support
IBA Support Includes:
-pregnancy and birth support
-midwifery care
-cultural teaching workshops
-transportation to and support in appointments,
-chest/breastfeeding support and equipment, when necessary

We are accept donations on an AS NEED BASIS for strollers, nursing bras and maternity clothes and newborn/infant clothes, diapers and baby carriers.
